Horace Mann Summer Dance Intensive 2024 will be an intense immersive week of dance June 17th-21st (*Off Wednesday, June 19th for Juneteenth). Dancers will take technique classes in several dance styles, complete daily challenges in dance composition and choreography, and have a chance to rehearse with and perform the choreography of NYC’s top professional dance artists.

Morning technique classes will be kept small to allow for individualized attention so teachers can focus on specific goals for each student. The week will culminate in an informal showcase in Gross Theater on Friday, June 21st. We invite you to be part of the first cohort of students for the Horace Mann Summer Dance Intensive and are offering this 2024 program free of charge to Horace Mann students. Dress code:

• Please wear fitted athletic or dance attire each day - Leotard and Tights, Shorts or Leggings, Athletic Top and Shorts or Leggings, Sweater/Warm-Up Clothing

• Please bring or arrange to borrow Ballet Flats. Dancers may also be asked to dance in socks or barefoot for some classes

• We will spend time outdoors during breaks and lunch, so please prepare accordingly - Cover Ups if needed, Sunscreen, Sunhats.

• Please pack a leakproof water bottle to keep with you in the studio.

lunch:

• Hot lunch is provided each day. There is a refrigerator available if needed.

• There will be a public informal showcase in Gross Theater on Friday, June 21st at 2:30pm
