Angela Nicole Patmon

Founder of Patmon Dance Projcet, Angela Patmon, aims to create a space for community and collaboration through dance. Patmon is currently on faculty at Horace Mann School and directs their dance program. She recently completed her instructional leadership certificate from Harvard. Patmon choreographed a new musical in workshop, Francois and the Rebels, appearing at The Public Theater and has choreographed several musicals including Annie, Freaky Friday, Beauty and the Beast, Something Rotten, Addams Family, and more.

Patmon danced for the Metropolitan Opera Ballet in Lincoln Center, was a swing in The Jungle Book under Tony Award winners Christopher Gattelli and Mary Zimmerman, and danced at Jazz at Lincoln Center, and Central Park Summer Stage here in New York, as well as New Jersey Performing Arts Center and Jacobs Pillow. She danced as a soloist for Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, and Elements Contemporary Ballet (Chicago, IL), Wideman/Davis Dance (Columbia, SC), Eisenhower Dance Ensemble (Detroit, MI), and Oui Danse (New York, NY). Patmon has danced for several choreographers including Earl Mosley, Stefanie Batten Bland, Sean Curran, Tammy Colucci, Kristine Covillo Lynch, Kellen Stancil, and Brice Mousset. Other credits include Detroit Opera’s production of Pearl Fishers, and commercial dance work for MAC Cosmetics, Hermès, Apple Watch, and Wolford for New York Fashion Week. Patmon also danced in Bollywood hit film Dhoom 3, and appeared in STARZ Network’s Flesh and Bone, and as Alicia Bloom in Elementary.
